Skill Game Of The Week – Mad Skills Motocross 2 (Turborilla)

What are we talking about here?

Mad Skills Motocross 2 is one of the very best examples I’ve seen of a tilt-mechanics side-scroller. The basic concept is straight forward (or sideways, at least): ride your bike as fast as possible across tricky terrain in order to beat your computer or human opponent. Easier said than done! It takes timing and dexterity to navigate perilous bumps and hills that are steeper the cost of a night at the Ritz, but it’s all worth it when you eventually bounce across the finishing line in first place.

Skill Game Of The Week – Armored Drive (4gency)

What are we talking about here?

Armored Drive is, on first glance, yet another retro graphics title feeding off the widespread nostalgia among thirty-somethings for arcade games from the early 1990s. But, a quick peek under the bonnet quickly sets the record straight, this is a great game! As a test driver of a hi-tech spy car, your job is to drive as far as possible whilst avoiding hazards such as vehicles, missiles and other dangers. What’s more, you can fight back with up to 20 different weapons of your own.
