Skill Game of the Week – Swing Copters (Dong Nguyen)

What are we talking about here?

Swing Copters is the game we’ve all been waiting for. The follow up to the hugely successful Flappy Bird (remember all those lost hours from earlier in the year?) has soared straight to number two in the App Store charts.

As you might expect, Swing Copters involves tapping and flying and is very, VERY difficult. The game mechanics, however, are a pleasant surprise. Tasked with guiding a sceptical looking creature vertically through a series of gaps guarded by hammers, each tap arcs you in the opposite direction. Sounds simple, doesn’t it?

Skill Game of the Week – Beyond Gravity (Qwiboo)

What are we talking about here?

Beyond Gravity is a wonderful little game that makes spinning around little planets and jumping onto other little planets take up an unfeasible amount of your free time. Tight game mechanics aligned with beautiful, stylish graphics, it’s easy to understand why Pocketgamer included it in their ‘Top 10 best iPhone and iPad games of July 2014‘ list.
